Sunflower competition
We hold our annual 'Sunflower competition' in the summer term.
Each child brings in a yogurt pot and then we spend a lesson planting our sunflower seeds. We remind ourselves of what plants need to grow successfully. The children then take the sunflowers home and tend to them over the summer holidays.
In September, we ask for a picture, along with the height that the sunflower reached. It takes a lot of love and care to look after our sunflowers. Some are huge!!
