What is trance?Trance is a type of electronic dance music characterized by hypnotic rhythms and sounds. It uses computers, synthesizers and samples to build up melodies, often with lots of repetition. Listen out for long drawn out chords when the drums drop out. Famous example: Paul Okenfold
What is MamboMambo is a genre of Cuban dance music. It uses syncopated rhythms with a strong percussion sound to encourage dancing. It often features brass instruments. Famous Example: Perez Prado
What is ska?Ska is a genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950s and was the style that led to reggae music. Ska combines elements of Caribbean traditional music with American jazz and rhythm and blues. Famous Exmaple: Millie Small
