At Sharmans Cross, we provide a range of opportunities to support children’s interest and enjoyment of computing. We have a strong focus on the importance of E-safety through our participation in the national Safer Internet Day. Children undertake work and attend assemblies relating to the specific E-safety focus for that year. Pupils use technology throughout the curriculum. For example, in Year 5, children use iPads and laptops to create a Lego animation based on their English topic, Beowulf. We offer an after school coding club to children in Year 3 and 4, which gives children the opportunity to further practise and develop their knowledge and understanding of coding using Scratch.
