This year children took part in a variety of art workshops, many linked to a book they had been reading in English. Artists were invited into school to work with the children and develop skills.
Year 3 have been reading 'How to train a dragon' and created individual wire dragons as well as working collaboratively with an artist to create a gigantic wire dragon.
Year 4 worked alongside an artist to create a wire vine using recyclable materials. Each child created their own leaf using different sewing techniques.
Year 5 worked alongside an artist to create a 3D sculpture of a lion linked to their book study, The Lion The witch and the Wardrobe. Year 5 used different fabrics to create texture.
Year 6 explored the history of felt making and created their own felt rainforest pictures.
